Klamath Tribal Membership and Support of Children

The Klamath Tribe does everything it can in support of Native children of the tribe and members of the community. Attending regular educational institutions, children supported by the Klamath Tribe also receive help outside of school. The Indian Education Act of 1972 allowed for the allocation of money to fund programs to help children in after school programs and summer camps where they learn more about their culture and language incorporated into standard curriculum. There are many opportunities for children of the Klamath Tribe to learn about their heritage while receiving support for their educations in school.
